Sep 28th Trading Log (Updates):

Current Trades: Sold 1,000 TLT shares at 103.15, sold 2,000 HAL shares at 24.25, sold 50 SPY Oct calls at 11.1, bought 20 SPY Oct calls back at 9.9, sold 30 SPY Oct calls at 11.1, sold 40 SPY Oct calls at 11.5, sold 50 SPY Nov calls at 11.8, sold 1,000 TLT shares at 103.60, sold 1,000 TLT shares at 104.00, sold 30 SPY Nov calls at 12, sold 20 SPY Nov calls at 12.4, sold 30 SPY Nov calls at 13, sold 2,000 HAL shares at 24.50, sold 20 SPY Nov calls at 13.5, sold 30 SPY Nov calls at 14, and sold 50 BABA Nov calls at 3.8 ---------- SPX rose 72 points to 3,719 and reached a high of 3,736 today. A catalyst in October can trigger a short covering rally to SPX 3,900 or 4,000, or a selloff to 3,600 or 3,500. However, SPX may continue the uptrend into early October and be in a trading range tomorrow, e.g. 3,650 to 3,750. I plan to buy SPY and BABA calls on pullbacks, and perhaps TLT HAL and EWG stock. BABA created a daily bullish engulfing candlestick today.

My portfolio is over $1,985,000 including $1,540,400 in cash.

Calls Contracts-Shares Long

EWG 5,000 shares
HAL 4,000 shares
SPY Nov 375 2022 120
BABA Nov 90 2022 50
BABA Jan 90 2023 100

Puts Contracts-Shares Short

None

Portfolio at $100,000 on March 1st, 2018. Portfolio stop loss suspended. Scaled up and adjusted portfolio. Both prior portfolios, since early 2000s, rose initially and substantially, and then failed quickly in “irrational” market “melt-ups," where stocks can go straight up month after month.
