Jan 20th Trading Log (Fri Trading Plan):
The daily NYMO closed at negative 66, which suggests little downside short-term and a rally soon. There may be attempts tomorrow for SPX to rise above 4,500, after closing at 4,482 and futures down in after-hours from NFLX falling over 100 points on earnings. So, I plan to trade January options that expire after tomorrow, because there may be a great deal of volatility, e.g. SPX between 4,450 and 4,550? A volatile market is a forgiving trading market and January options have huge leverage now. I'll be on computer at open.
My portfolio is over $615,000 including $542,500 in cash.

Portfolio at $100,000 on March 1st, 2018. Portfolio stop loss suspended. Scaled up and adjusted portfolio. Both prior portfolios, since early 2000s, rose initially and substantially, and then failed quickly in “irrational” market “melt-ups," where stocks can go straight up month after month. |
