Next Week Trading (Sep 8th):
I expect volatility to continue. SPY may pullback about four points to the 50 day MA. So, if SPY rises, I’ll buy more puts. TLT should also be volatile. I still expect HAL to rise into the low or mid 20s, either this month or by December. GE may also rise another point or two soon. I’ll be looking for opportunities to trade weekly options too, e.g. on AMZN GOOG CMG or BA.
My portfolio is about $520,000 including $325,700 in cash.
Calls Contracts-Shares Long
GE Jan 10 2020 600
HAL Jan 20 2020 300
HAL Jan 22.5 2020 200
HAL Jan 25 2020 2,000
Puts Contracts-Shares Short
TLT Oct 146 2019 100
SPY Sep 295 2019 100
SPY Oct 295 2019 70
Portfolio at $100,000 on March 1st, 2018. Portfolio stop loss lowered to $300,000. Scaled up and adjusted portfolio. Both prior portfolios, since the early 2000s, rose initially and substantially, and then failed quickly in “irrational” market “melt-ups.” |
