Aug 16th Trading Log (Premarket):
Since my portfolio fell below the stop loss, I’ll be looking for opportunities to sell. TLT rose much further than I expected and HAL fell much more than I expected. It hasn’t been a good trading market, for me, over the past two or three months, after basically making steady gains for several months. Nonetheless, there will be better opportunities later. The HAL Jan calls are promising and the 10 year bond yield may fall further to 1.35% to 1.45% before bottoming this year. The low was 1.51% yesterday.
My portfolio is at $440,000 including $105,600 in cash.

Portfolio at $100,000 on March 1st, 2018. Portfolio stop loss lowered to $500,000. Scaled up and adjusted portfolio. Both prior portfolios, since the early 2000s, rose initially and substantially, and then failed quickly in “irrational” market “melt-ups.” |
